min + fred | los coyotes country club [wedding]

Remember Min + Fred’s engagement session at the Getty Center? One of the sweetest couples to work with – and I was so honored to document their big day starting at Hair Day in Koreatown where Min and her mom and bridesmaids got ready.

Shortly after we all arrived at Los Coyotes Country Club for the ceremony and reception!
This is one of my favorite moments captured — seeing Min’s mom take such care in putting her eyeglasses on and helping her daughter with her bridal gown. Definitely a lot of emotion at that moment!
The beautiful flowers and decorations were provided by Jina Choi of The Flower. Absolutely gorgeous details from the ceremony and into the reception ballroom.
The officiant was actually one of Fred’s childhood friends – who drove half way across the country to perform the ceremony.
After the ceremony, they had a tradition ceremony called the paebaek with the offering of tea to both sets of parents. I love the formality of Min’s hanbok.
And it’s customary that the groom carries the bride on his back around the table…. (and sometimes even his mother-in-law as well)

It was a fun-filled day AND night! I’m not even sure when the party stopped!

averi @ 10 months | san dimas [baby portraits]

Summer is winding down in the next few weeks so I wanted to share a fun and warm post of Averi. If you want to see her 5 months ago, check out the photos here. Check out her retro sunglasses and swimsuit — the absolute cutest! The first set of her with the yellow surfboard were shot with film. I like the softer tones of film so it was a great experiment of digital vs. film. Which one do you prefer?

caitlyn | diamond bar [birthday party]

It was THE most perfect summer party to celebrate Caitlyn turning 4! Her mom Joann arranged and decorated the whole space with a variety of sweets and desserts. After looking at all these photos again, I just am craving cupcake pops and red velvet cupcake jars …. and my wife is certainly trying to think of ways to get her some macaroons!

This is definitely one blinged out iPhone! I thought it would be massively heavy but surprisingly not.
Grass skirts with some hula dancing lessons was the perfect way to get all the girls to burn off some of that sugar intake:)
